The Good: Lebanon Dumps Syria

Lebanon has thrown off its Syrian overlords. Read about it here, NY Times. Syria will now remove its thousands of troops and hopefully its terror related activities. Huzzah!

The Bad: Wall Street Crooks

Bernard Ebbers of WorldCom is trying to play a variation on the Ronald Reagan "I'm just a pretty dumb face around here, everyone else is doing the work" defense. Read it here, NY Times. Ebbers organized the $11 Billion fraud and now he's saying he was just a "coach." I can't wait for Bush to borrow that 3 trillion dollars for "private investments" instead of Social Security so that cunts like Ebbers can have the cash, then they will turn around and loot it all. Remember also that the Bushies pushed through legislation limiting investigations of frauds like this. This is Wall Street, this is capitalism. This is what greed looks like.

The Ugly: Bombing In Iraq Kills 122

A suicide carbomber drove into a crowd waiting in line to join the Iraqi National Guard, killing 122 and wounding 170 (at least). Read it here, NY Times. Now what? They have anarchy on their hands. Are we going to commit more troops, withdraw, what?
