English Premier League --- The greatest sport in the world started it's 2003-2004 season in England today. Newly promoted clubs Portsmouth and Leicester City did well, Portsmouth beating Aston Villa 2-1 and Leicester drawing 2-2 with Southampton. The third new team in the top flight, Wolverhampton Wolves, had a shock as the competition paddled them 5-1. Last year's EPL Champions, Manchester United, thrashed Bolton 4-0, with 2 goals by Ryan Giggs, and 1 apiece from Paul Scholes and Ruud Van Nistelrooy. New Man Utd signing Christiano Ronaldo was a true threat on his opening match, and American goalie Tim Howard had a brilliant save to preserve the clean sheet. Speech Is Free, Motherfucker! --- This following story is taken from the Dreamworks newsletter, concerning the band Living Things and their singer, Lillian.:

NEAR DEATH IN DALLAS: Every time he lets it rip vocally onstage these
days, LIVING THINGS singer Lillian Berlin is reminded of some special
souvenirs he took away from Dallas: cracked ribs and a concussion.
After his band played a club in Dallas, Lillian stepped outside for
some fresh air. Only a few feet down the block, he was accosted by
three men who beat him to the ground and fired a gun right beside his
head. A homeless man came to Lillian’s rescue, drawing enough
attention to the altercation to drive off the assailants. What
provoked the thugs? From what they snarled at Lillian between blows,
they didn’t like the anti-Bush comments he made from the stage, and
they warned him not to play Dallas ever again. Lillian spent the rest
of the night in a hospital emergency room before hitting the road
again. Living Things are currently playing with The Libertines – and
still celebrating their right to free speech. Ah, the joys of life on
the road. Check out Living Things’ tour dates at: www.livingthingsmusic.com.

Don't know Living Things, but right on for Lillian for speaking his mind. We support Lillian and hope he recovers quickly. And for the record Bush is a fucking cunt!
