Man Utd Dump Those Cheating Thug Bastards Arsenal Out Of FA Cup
Manchester United will advance to the final match against either Millwall or Sunderland, to be played in Cardiff stadium. The Red Devils went ahead in the 31st minute as the tremendously talented ginger prince Paul Scholes netted a goal after a sterling cross from the peerless master of the game, Welshman Ryan Giggs. Arsenal were up to their usual bullshit, including hot-headed goalie Jens Lehmann pushing Ronaldo and getting booked for it. No treble for the Gooners, even though they will likely win the league this season. Arsenal take on Chelsea this Tuesday in a Champions League match, but they will be playing without Reyes (the Diving Master) and Ljungberg. Hopefully Chelse will crush their London rivals.
No Shit, Sherlock
Colin Powell just 'fessed up that the information he submitted to the UN for justifying the invasion of Iraq, "appears not to be that solid." Read about it here, BBC News.

Go For Rats!
Scientists have mapped the Rat genome. Read about it here, from BBC News, and admire that cute rat photo. Cute, but not as cute as Janeane Garofalo. Surprised that rats and humans have about 90% the same DNA? Guess you've never been to New York...
Good Radio
Today is the launch of "Air America," a liberal-themed talk radio enterprise hosted by Janeane Garofalo, Al Franken, and other comedians-cum-politicos. Read about it here, from the New York Times. Admire that photo, too. Janeane looks damn hot! She could be a suicide girl. Anyway, tune in Monday through Friday, at these stations. It's a small start, but maybe it can stem the bile and invective spewing from the rightwing hatemongers like Rush and Hannity and O'Reilly. Blech. Those names make me sick just typing them.

Clarke's Testimony Vindicated
Last week the White House and Condi Rice et al vehemently denied the allegations Richard Clarke made in his new book. Chief among them, is that Bush and his advisors pointedly ignored Al Quaeda and Afghanistan and instead focused on destroying Iraq. Clarke maintains that Bush ordered ordered him to link 9/11 to Iraq. Clarke has been the chief terrorist security advisor for 30 years, serving under Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton, and now Bush 2 until he resigned. After Clarke testified, the White House sent their goons on a media blitz to portray Clarke as "out of the loop" and some sort of crazy partisan. Richard Perle, (the man who wrote a fascistic book with David Frum calling for the US to march into the Middle East and topple every government there and set up Christian puppet governments), even said that on 9/12 Bush was never in the "situation room" that day where this conversation is reputed to have taken place.

As Jon Stewart said on The Daily Show (see this clip, here, it's hilarious), "if Bush wasn't in the 'situation room' on 9/12, what situation was he waiting for?" In today's New York Times, here, Condi Rice now admits that, okay, yes, the conversation did take place, and yes, Bush did in fact tell Clarke those things, and so Clarke told the truth. But! What Bush meant was...
