Let's End The Two-Party Duopoly
Katrina vanden Heuvel of The Nation makes some great arguments in this blog article, here, about how to turn America's shoddy electoral system into a vibrant and useful tool that better represents Americans. Among her ideas are:
1. proportional representation: eliminating the winner-take-all policy in effect.
2. IRV - instant run-off voting: like they have in Ireland, you vote for your first and second choices.
3. Fusion voting: where more than one party can nominate a candidate.
4. Making Election Day a national holiday: establish the gravity of voting, get more people to the polls.
5. Public funding of elections.
6. Election day registration.
7. Consolidating elections: have all elections on one day, instead of scattered throughout the year.

Normal People Do Fucked Up Things
...when fucked up things become normal. It's the same for people doing insane things like suicide/murder-bombings. Everyone knows that shit ain't the actions of a sane person. So why does it happen? Another round of targeted killings of Hamas militants occured last week, read it here, from the Bill Clinton-loving heathens at the LA Times. You can't treat the Palestinians like animals (penned up, no rights) or they will become animals (suicide/murder bombings etc). It's time to create either a Palestinian state, for good, or to tell the Palestinians they will never get a homeland and to move them into Jordan. All this "roadmap" stuff is bullshit. All of those groups like Hamas and Islamic Jihad are NOT helping things, either. All of the Israelis who want to create a better solutions for the Palestinians need sane, rational allies, not insane terrorists. Any members of any gangs should automatically be killed, whether it's here in LA or under a green banner of Islam.
Al Quaeda Sort Of Linked To Iraq Blast
The US command is busy tying Al Quaeda "suspect" Abu al-Zaqarwi to the horrific blast last Tuesday that killed 271 people in Karbala. Read about it here, from the lefty, bought-and-paid-for biased commie front, BBC News. It's important to note 2 things about this:
1. Al Quaeda denied involvement in a letter.
2. The US command is linking every attack to Al Quaeda.
We speculate that the US military is desperately trying to come up with some links to Al Quaeda so that the November election will have some sort of prophecy-fulfillment, with there being Al Quaeda terrorists in Iraq. We also believe that Al Quaeda would have absolutely no problem with claiming another huge victory for those 271 bystanders that were murdered. To sum it up: we don't believe Al Quaeda is behind any of the attacks in Iraq and we believe it's all going to be more misinformation and lies from the Bushies hoping to establish some foundation for Bush's lies.

President Kerry
It looks like Super Tuesday's results will give Kerry the nomination for President. Kerry hinted at naming Edwards as his Vice President, which would be a great fit. Congratulations to all the candidates who each, in his or her own way, helped bring issues to the fore and reinvigorate the Democratic party. Now it's time to start fighting back when all of the Bush campaign's ads appear. Set the record straight, don't let them off the hook. Crush Bush.
