History Suggests Bush Is Finished!
This article from The Washington Post, here, says that Bush's approval ratings are sure sign that he will not get a 2nd term and a 2nd chance to cause global annihilation. Bush is in the rubbish bin of history, where he belongs, hooray!
Franz Ferdinand Scrap With Eminem
Alex and Nick from the Scottish sensations Franz Ferdinand were recently involved in a dustup with Eminem's bodyguard. Read about it here, from NME. Alex and Nick did not like the way Eminem's flabby fatass dickhead told them to move along, as if anyone over the age of 12 gave a shit about rap and Eminem. Scots will knock yer fucking teeth out, mate, don't mess with 'em.

Gen. Taguba, Martyr
The general given the task of investigating prisoner abuses in Iraq, Antonia Taguba, a two-star Army general, is being sacrificed on the Bush's vanity altar. Because Taguba went beyond the scope of his investigation and said these problems are systemic, he pissed somebody off. That somebody was probably The Mummy himself, Donald Mummysfeld. Instead of a promotion, Taguba has been reassigned to the assistant secretary in charge of Reserves Affairs. In other words, he has been demoted and any chance of his advancing up the career ladder is now a pipedream. I'm sure Taguba himself knew this would happen --- and he still brought out his damning report. This is sacrifice. This is what good soldiers do. Taguba should be hailed as a hero. An accompanying story in The Washington Post has more on this, here.

Secret World Of US Interrogation
It's getting harder to maintain or image of ourselves as "the good guys," especially now that a torrent of information about our shady interrogation techniques is now public. Read about it here, from The Washington Post. Despite Republican claims to the contrary, airing this news and getting all the information out to the public is the only way this problem can be addressed. All of those guilty of these war crimes need to be removed from power. America stands for freedom, liberty, justice, and truth. These few (or many) soldiers have soiled our Constitution, our reputation, and our hopes of having the Islamic world ever view us as anything but Crusaders. This sentence should scare the pants off you:

"The Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq... is just the largest and suddenly most notorious in a worldwide constellation of detention centers -- many of them secret and all off-limits to public scrutiny."

How many more prisons like this exist, with how many prisoners? What is happening to them?
Sony VAIO says "Fuck Mac"
Sony has created the world's smallest computer that fully runs Windows XP. Read about it here, from Space Daily. It's about 6 1/2 inches wide, sports onboard 256MB RAM and has a 20 GB harddrive. Not bad for a portable device. Imagine an iPod that can actually do something besides play songs...
Nano-scale Trees
Fiendish scientists at the Nano Consortium in Lund, Sweden, have succeeded in making nano fibers that have superconductor properties. They then grew "forests" of these nano fibers, standing now on the precipice of a brave new world of science and possibility. Read about it here, from Space Daily.
Red Rectangle Nebula is Stairway To Heaven
The Hubble space telescope has returned some amazing images of HD 44179, known as the Red Rectangle. See it and read about it here, from Space Daily.
